1. General Principles

This privacy policy concerns the collection, use, storage, and transfer of personal data by AS Harju Elekter Group and companies belonging to the same group (hereinafter Harju Elekter). The processing of personal data is based on the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council on 27 April on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

2. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

We collect personal data (name, personal identification code, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, bank account number and payment information, work-related data such as CV, cover letter, work experience, references), business contact information (information received during the exchange of business cards), and technical data (IP address, device information, cookie preferences) that are provided voluntarily by individuals or arise during the provision of services.

Personal data is collected and processed to enable us to offer and provide our services and to ensure the smooth operation of transactions and deliveries to customers. Personal data is also used for customer communication and responding to enquiries to guarantee prompt and relevant service. In recruitment processes, the processing of personal data is necessary to assess candidates and analyses their suitability for employment. In addition, processing personal data helps ensure security, for example, using security camera recordings in offices and sales areas, which protect both individuals and property. Processing personal data is also necessary for fulfilling legal obligations, including accounting and tax requirements.

3. Data Sharing

We share personal data among Harju Elekter Group companies. We also share it with our service providers to the extent necessary for the daily operations of Harju Elekter (IT, marketing, and other support service providers). Where required by law or to protect our rights, property, and safety, we may disclose your personal data to relevant authorities.

As a data subject, you have several rights that ensure the transparent and lawful processing of your data. You always have the right to access your personal data and see how it is being used. If you notice that your data is inaccurate or outdated, you have the right to request its correction or deletion. We implement all technical, physical, and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, unlawful processing or disclosure, accidental loss, alteration, or destruction. Access to personal data is granted only to authorised persons.

6. Retention of Personal Data

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. Recruitment data is kept until the recruitment process is completed, unless a longer retention period has been agreed with the candidate. Business partners’ contact data is kept for the duration of the business relationship to ensure smooth cooperation and communication.

7. Cookies

We use cookies on our website, which help collect general statistics about website traffic and improve user experience. A cookie is a small text file saved on the user’s computer or device when visiting the website. If the same user returns to the site later, the browser reads the cookie and transmits the relevant information back to the website or the element that originally saved the cookie. We do not use cookies to monitor the behavior of individual people and do not obtain consent for the use of personal data via cookies.
