HEKA M
HOW OUR PRODUCT WAS USED
In 2025, the solar park outside Lysekil on the west coast of Sweden was successfully launched with a total output of around 5.2 MW. The medium-voltage connection to the grid consisted of only one compact secondary substation type HEKA1SM6300-1. Why is this important? Power up to 6400 kVA is currently the most used solution in big solar parks (20+ MW of power).

TECHNICAL SOLUTION
In the station, there was an IBH24-swg from ABB, two-winding (12/0.8/0.8 kV) 6400 kVA transformers and two 2500 A HECON LV panels with a local 0.8/0.42 kV transformer.

SOFT VALUES CREATED FOR THE CUSTOMER
Lower total cost of internal grid and just one substation to take care of.
INTERNAL CHALLENGE SOLVED
Assembling this new substation type in-house for the first time brought
different challenges such as mechanical changes in sheet metal component
design and in the assembly process.
