HOW OUR PRODUCT WAS USED
In 2023, Kuusalu Solar Park was successfully launched with a total output of
17.4 MW. The internal medium-voltage grid consisted of six compact secondary
substations type HEKA1VM3150-1.

TECHNICAL SOLUTION
Harju Elekter engineered a larger enclosure based on the proven HEKA1VM1600-1 design. It was equipped with high-power transformers ranging from 2500 to 3150 kVA. Schneider RM6 medium-voltage switchgear and CTVT on the primary side, along with a robust HECON 2500 A 800 V low-voltage system on the secondary side were installed.
INTERNAL CHALLENGE SOLVED
Assembling this new substation type in-house for the first time broughtdifferent challenges such as mechanical changes in sheet metal componentdesign and in the assembly process.
