Energy distribution for E.ON

HEKA C

HOW OUR PRODUCT WAS USED

In 2025, E.ON continued with investments in its local grid expansion, where it created new connection points up to 2×1250 kVA of apparent power to consumers according to the new regulation with SF6-free equipment. Concrete enclosures are used mostly in urban areas where both the design and durability of the enclosure are very important.

TECHNICAL SOLUTION

Harju Elekter fulfilled the need of E.ON by providing HEKA C, which is our compact substation in a concrete enclosure equipped with two transformers up to 1250 kVA, along with SF6-free medium-voltage switchgear on the primary side paired with an integrated low-voltage solution on the secondary side.

SOFT VALUES CREATED FOR THE CUSTOMER

The close collaboration within Harju Elekter resulted in a new compact substation design, which was developed in minimum time.
During the project, Harju Elekter created value for E.ON by becoming fully responsible for organising transport and coordinating the arrival of customer-supplied materials. This resulted in the project being delivered on time with minimal involvement from the customer.

INTERNAL CHALLENGE SOLVED

During the development, Harju Elekter was challenged to create a completely
new design and perform type tests according to IEC 62271-202.
