HOW OUR PRODUCT WAS USED
From 2023 to 2027, Elektrilevi is continuing with investments in its local grid expansion, where one of the utilised solutions is the distribution substation in the HEKA C enclosure. The main application connects multiple medium-voltage customers/energy producers to the grid using Feeder terminals and control/adjustment functionality remotely through the RTU module.
TECHNICAL SOLUTION
Harju Elekter fulfilled the need of Elektrilevi by providing a HEKA C distribution substation in a concrete enclosure equipped with SF6 medium-voltage switchgear, commercial metering and integrated in a metering panel, local power MV/LV transformer on the primary side paired with RTU units.
SOFT VALUES CREATED FOR THE CUSTOMER
The close collaboration within Harju Elekter resulted in a new updated HEKA C design that was developed in minimum time.
During the project Harju Elekter created value for Elektrilevi by finding a suitable combination of primary and secondary components installed in the most economically optimised substation enclosure.
INTERNAL CHALLENGE SOLVED
During the development, Harju Elekter was challenged to change the design ofthe concrete enclosure and to find suitable protection relays, RTU components,fault pass indicators and other equipment that fulfilled the requirements ofElektrilevi and enhance its own knowledge of adjusting and testingcomponents.
